How To | Setup Aviagen Email on Outlook for Apple IOS

Before you begin

You will need the following before adding your Aviagen email account to Mail for iOS:

  • The Mail app installed on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Your full Aviagen email address.
  • Your Aviagen password.

Step 1: Start Exchange setup

Open the Mail app.

On the welcome screen, select Microsoft Exchange.

Step 2: Enter your email address

On the Exchange screen, enter your full Aviagen email address.

Enter the description as Work.

Tap Next.

Step 3: Choose manual configuration

When the sign-in popup appears, select Configure Manually.

Enter your Aviagen password and tap Next.

Step 4: Enter the Exchange settings

The details that are automatically entered may be incorrect. Enter the details exactly as shown below.

Example: If your email address is [email protected], your username would be:

yourname

Important

Make sure the server, domain, and username match exactly. The automatically entered values may not be correct.

Tap Next once all details have been entered.

Step 5: Choose what to sync

Select the items you want to sync, such as Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes.

Tap Save.

Step 6: Complete privacy and notification prompts

If you are shown the Mail Privacy Protection screen, select the appropriate option and tap Continue.

If you are asked whether Mail can send notifications, tap Allow if you want email notifications.

Step 7: Wait for approval

You may now be signed in, but your emails may not appear straight away.

The sign-in can send a mobile device approval request to the UK IT Helpdesk. You may need to contact the Helpdesk to confirm the request was made by you.

Once the request has been approved, reload your inbox and your emails should begin to appear.

Troubleshooting

If setup does not work, check the following:

  • Your email address has been entered correctly.
  • Your password is correct.
  • You selected Configure Manually.
  • The server is entered as webmail.uk.aviagen.com.
  • The domain is entered as newbridge.
  • Your username only contains the part before the @ symbol.
