Before you begin

You will need the following before adding your Aviagen email account to Samsung Email for Android:

  • The Samsung Email app installed from the Google Play Store.
  • Your full Aviagen email address.
  • Your Aviagen password.

Open the Samsung Email app.

On the Set up Email screen, select Exchange.

Step 2: Enter your email and password

On the Set up account screen, enter your full Aviagen email address and your Aviagen password.

Tap Sign in.

Note: You may see an error or be taken to an Exchange server settings screen. This is expected. Continue with the next step.

Step 3: Correct the Exchange server settings

The details that are automatically entered may be incorrect and need to be changed.

Enter the settings exactly as shown below, using your own email address and username.

Field Enter this
Email address Your full Aviagen email address
Domain\username newbridge\yourusername
Your username is the part of your email address before the @ symbol.
Password Your Aviagen email password

Step 4: Sign in and apply security settings

Tap Sign in.

If you are asked to apply security settings, tap Apply.

Step 5: Wait for approval

You may now be signed in, but your emails may not appear straight away.

The sign-in can send a mobile device approval request to the UK IT Helpdesk. You may need to contact the Helpdesk to confirm the request was made by you.

Once the request has been approved, reload your inbox and your emails should begin to appear.

Troubleshooting

If setup does not work, check the following:

  • Your email address has been entered correctly.
  • Your password is correct.
  • The Domain\username field starts with newbridge\.
  • Your username only contains the part before the @ symbol.
  • The Exchange server is entered as webmail.uk.aviagen.com.
  • The port is set to 443.
