Guide | Install and setup SOTI/MOBI

  1. Navigate to the MOBI agent download page
    1. https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads/
  2. Select android and then the XXX option
  3. You will see the following agent/plugin QR code screen
    1. Select the “Manufacturer” and “Model” as seen above, make sure the “Agent Version” is the latest available
    2. You have now successfully prepared your machine for the glasses
  4. Please note, you will NOT need the plugin QR code for this device
  5. Next open the Scammer app on the vuzix glasses
    1. Ensure you scan the “Agent” QR code with the glasses and then select “Install APK” on the glasses
  6. Install the APK. You will get the usual android permission popups, approve these and continue to the installer
  7. Once installed open the app, you will see a screen inviting you to input an enrolment ID
    1. Input the following code – YSWNBU37
  8. A webpage will appear, you can use the side touchpad to scroll down this webpage to the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page, select this
  9. A permissions page for “Activate Device Admin” will now appear, approve these permissions for full app functionality
  10. If the device has successfully enrolled, you should see the following screen on the device
  11. To see the device in the dashboard select the refresh button at the top of the device list
  12. To ensure the app has all correct permissions go into the settings, then applications, then select the MOBI app. Ensure that every single permission is enabled
  13. A common issue is with GPS locating the device, MOBI has issues with this if the following settings are not enabled
    1. Under location settings, scroll to the bottom and select “Scanning”
    2. Enable these two permissions
    3. This will solve some issues with GPS location that occur regularly
  14. Congratulations you have successfully added a device to the software
