- Navigate to the Outlook Desktop application and open it
- Once open, navigate to “File” in the top left corner
- Here, click on the “Options” button on the left hand side
- From here a menu should appear, in this menu open the “Search” tab, the 6th option down.
- In here find the “Sources” option and click on the “Indexing options” box
- This will present the following window
- On this window, select Microsoft outlook, then click on the “Advanced “ option
- Next you will need to enter admin credentials, if you don’t have these then contact the helpdesk at [email protected] or you can use Heimdal (Use guide if you need)
- The following window will appear
- Select “Rebuild” under the “Troubleshooting” tab
- This may take days to rebuild depending on your mailbox size
- Congratulations you have rebuilt your index
