Guide | Using Ninja to Remotely Connect to a Machine (End User)

  • Firstly ensure that you have a Ninja account.
  • You can do this by contacting [email protected] and asking for a Ninja/Remote Access account.
  • Once your account has been created you may follow these steps.
  • You will need to request devices in this list by contacting the helpdesk with justification

 

 

  • On the login screen for https://aviagen.rmmservice.eu , enter your Ninja account email and password that you set earlier
  • Once logged in, you will see a similar screen to this
      • On the left you will have your name, device list and settings
      • On the right, your available devices, you can request devices in this list by contacting the helpdesk with justification
    • When a device is offline/Powered off, you will see the following Icon alongside it
      • Devices in Aviagen do not support the wake up command option, you will need to contact a member of staff on location to power the device on.
    • When a device is online/powered on, you will see the following icon alongside it
      • When you click on the "Ninja Remote" option, you will immediately see a dialogue box appear
        • This box may ask you to download software, this is required to connect to the machine.
        • Once downloaded, install as required, refer to the Heimdal guide if you need -> HERE
        •  
  • Once connection is successful, you will see the following screen
  • You have now successfully connected to the device
    • From left to right your button options are
      • Select Screen
      • Ctrl + Alt + Delete
      • Paste copy as keyboard entry
      • List of clipboard shortcuts
      • Normal Paste of Copy
      • Add printers from this device to your computers printer options
      • Options to enable/disable your and the devices physical keyboard and mouse input
        • You will also have the option to record the screen to your own device
          • Within additional settings you will have a variety of advanced options, use these at your own peril
      • Power device on/off
  • To disconnect without powering off the device, close the window as per normal
