Guide | Phone MFA Application Setup for Silverfort MFA

  1. You will now be required to register your MFA device, this will be an MFA Authenticator application of your choosing. Some common choices here are Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
    These can be found by clicking on the below app store images/icons of your preference. (Remember, App Store is for Apple devices and the Play Store is for Android and Samsung phones)
    • Microsoft Authenticator
    • Google Authenticator
  2. While preparing your phone application you should have received another email, this time inviting you to begin your MFA application setup. When you are ready, click on "Start Enrollment". You should be taken to a QR code on screen.
  3. On the QR code screen, use one of the previously mentioned apps, Google Authenticator or Microsoft authenticator, to scan the code. Instructuons ont his can be found ont he next step.
  4. Using the Google Authenticator application as an example, open the app on your phone and select the relevant add MFA option
  5. Your camera will appear, point this at the QR code on screen as prompted by the application.
  6. You will then be asked to enter the code this generates, do this.
  7. Congratulations, you have now registered and saved your MFA code.
