Silverfort VPN Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Enrollment

 

To enroll in VPN MFA, follow these two required steps below:

 

1. Activate the Silverfort Desktop Application on your computer:

a. Click on the arrow pointing up that should be located at the bottom right of your computer.

 

b. Open the pre-installed Silverfort app on your desktop by left clicking once.

 

b. Select "Add User" and enter your Aviagen email address.

c. Send the verification code to your email.

 

 

d. Check your email for the verification code.

e. Return to the Silverfort app on your computer, enter the verification code received, and click "Verify."

 

f. Upon successful registration, you'll receive a confirmation that your identity is confirmed, and the app is ready.

 

 

2. Yubikey Enrollment

a. All farms were provided a yubikey to use with the Self Service password reset.

Insert the key to the computer USB port

 

 

 

b. Go to the link below

 

https://fido2.silverfort.com/register

 

 

c. Enter your Farm email address and send verification code

 

d. When prompted select windows Hello or External security key 

 

 

e. Click OK to allow the app to see the model of the key

 

 

f. when prompted touch the key

 

 

 

g. check for the verification code in your email

 

 

h. Go back to the registration page and enter the code you received on email 

 

 

1. The key registration is complete 

 

 

Connecting to the VPN using MFA with the Key:

 

1. Connect to the VPN using the Cisco Secure Client.

 

2. Enter your password and click "OK."

 

 

 

3. Click Authenticate.

 

4. Click Windows Hello or external security key.
   
5. Physically touch the key that is connect to your computer to complete he VPN connection
