Data Collector Installation (DC UPDATE Version)

 

1. Create an Installers Directory on the C: Drive of the machine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Copy over the folder "DataCollector_Click-Once_Installer" from "\\eu-nbg-sql\Publish" to the Installers Directory.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Run the "Install Data Collector.bat" file on from the Installers directory as local administrator preferably elevating the users local permissions to Administrator for a temporary period of time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Create an "Aviagen Data Collector" Folder in C:\Program Files\ and assign the group "Authenticated Users" permissions to be able to modify this folder.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. After the batch file has finished downloading everything (this usually takes around 10-15 minutes and closes itself when done) go to the desktop and delete the Data Collector Icon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. Navigate to "\\eu-nbg-sql\Publish\DC Update\*Side of the Business you are on*\*****.msi", Copy this file into the C:\Installers folder and run it as administrator using the users local admin privileges.

 

 

 

 

 

7. You should now have an app called DC Update on the desktop, run this and press download.

 

 

 

 

 

 

8. You should now get an MSI interface, just press next on all and Data Collector should appear on your Desktop

 

Data Collector is now Installed

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

9. Change the resolution of your screen to 1440x900 like below

 

 

Data Collector should now run without issues.
